QUABBIN CENTURY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Andrea Kaufman and Sue Hall, coordinators of the King's Tour of the Quabbin on Saturday, June 4, need volunteers for the following tasks:

3-4 people at sign-in at Naquag School (6:45-9 a.m. June 4. You can do this and still ride the metric century.)
2 people to spray-paint arrows on the roads (anytime roughly May 21-30, at your convenience. It has to be finished a few days before the ride to give us time to tweak the cue sheets.)
1 person to put chalk arrows on roads inside Quabbin Reservation (no paint allowed) the day of the ride (before 9 a.m. June 4)
2+ people to man rest stops (Hardwick, approx. 8-11 a.m., and Petersham, approx. noon-4 p.m.)
1-2 people to be at Naquag School when riders return (1-5 p.m. June 4) and help with cleanup (5-6 p.m. June 4)
2 people as SAG driver and navigator (approx. noon-5 p.m. June 4).

The King's Tour of the Quabbin is one of our club's signature events, drawing as many as 280 riders from all over the Northeast. It can't be staged on a wing and a prayer. Whether or not you plan to ride on June 4, please consider volunteering to make this ride happen.

To volunteer, contact Andrea at akaufman85@charter.net or 508-752-8657 by May 7. Last year the coordinator ended up doing several of these jobs himself, in addition to food shopping and other tasks. This year, if the coordinators do not get enough help, the event will be canceled.
