An easy-paced ride on paved roads with one serious hill and a rest stop at Calico & Creme in Hubbardston. The starting point on Wachusett Street in Rutland is 200-300 yards west of the blinking light on Route 68. Same ride Aug. 13 and 21, too.

Ride out from Paxton, thru the Brookfields, up to South Barre and back. Going to try to find some nice back roads we havent travel on before and some we have. I havent worked out the exact route but it should be around 45 miles.

Bring your bike for free service and/or maintenance lessons and/or use of the work area and tools at Seven Hills Wheelmen president Pete Howard's bike store. Work space is limited to six bikes, but there's no limit on the number of people (Seven Hills Wheelmen MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS). Club members who know a thing or two about using a wrench are welcome to help teach as well. The usual Seven Hills member discount of 10 percent will be increased to 20 percent for over-the-counter parts on this night only. Refreshments will be served.

Grafton, Westboro, Northboro and Berlin, with an optional 10-mile extension into Bolton. Both routes feature the relentless Green Street hill in Northboro, followed by a snack stop at Tougas Farm.
